Our four spots in Boone.

All four pickup locations are within a few minutes of downtown Boone.

First time?

How to actually get a loaf.

A few questions we get a lot.

Do you have a storefront in Boone?
Not yet. Between The Trees is a micro-bakery, so we sell through partner locations and the Watauga County Farmers Market. The four spots above are how to get a loaf this week.
When is the Watauga County Farmers Market?
Saturdays from 8 am to noon, April through October, on Horn in the West Drive in Boone, NC. We are there with sourdoughs, croissants, and seasonal pastries.
How do I preorder bread?
Preorder online through the High Country Food Hub. The order window opens Thursday at noon and closes Monday at midnight. Pickup is later in the week at the Food Hub in Boone.
What time should I show up at the Saturday market?
Earlier is better. The market runs from 8 to noon and the rarest items, especially the seasonal pastries, tend to be gone before the second cup of coffee. Locking in a Food Hub preorder is the surest way to get a specific loaf.
Do you ship bread out of Boone?
We do not ship. We bake for Boone, the High Country, and the mountain communities around us. If you are visiting from out of town, plan your pickup around a Saturday market or a Wednesday drop at Corbett's.
Do you accept Double Up Food Bucks?
Yes. Double Up Food Bucks doubles the value of any federal nutrition benefit at the Watauga County Farmers Market. Good bread should be accessible.
How should I store the bread once I get it home?
Cut side down on a board for the first day. After that, wrap it in a cloth or paper bag on the counter for two to three days. To keep it longer, slice and freeze. Naturally leavened bread keeps better than supermarket bread because of the long ferment.
Can I order bread for a wedding, event, or cabin rental?
Yes. We bake to standing wholesale orders for High Country restaurants and cafés, custom runs for weddings, and welcome baskets for cabin hosts and short-term rental managers across Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk. Email betweenthetreesbread@gmail.com to talk it through.
